During the second season of A1GP a number of A1Fans at A1podium [our previous name] were bemoaning the boring official team press releases and asking why we couldn't spice them up a bit. We pointed out that it would require us to have a reporter at each and every race to do this and it was not feasible on our very meagre budget.
Then a light went on one day and we decided to see if it would be possible to recruit some of these very A1Fans to act as our eyes at races around the world, one volunteer came forward for the Durban round and was deemed by everyone to be a huge success. Season three saw this enlarged to six races and was growing -- We called them our A1Reporters!
Unfortunately A1GP did a deal with Ferrari for season four, and all the worlds media wanted access to the media centre on race weekends, leading them to cancel our full media accreditation - not worthy - for those queue jumpers who had been ignoring A1GP since the beginning.
Where we had been able to offer full media/photographer passes to each race weekend before - this was now no longer possible.
Now we are altering this feature whereby any fan visiting an A1GP race can post a report of their experience for others. We will also welcome reports from anyone watching a race on TV.
Sorry but there is no remuneration for your reports and/or photos.
We are a single language website using the most common world-wide, used and understood, second language - English - so obviously you would be required to write your reports in this language. The ability to write a short story is a must and if you have a camera to take some action shots that would be a bonus. If you don't have the ability to write articles you may be a great photographer which would be very welcome.
Read some of the previous contributions listed in the right-hand menu under 'A1GP Reports' to see what others have done. If you refresh the page you will see a random exclusive image renewed above the right-hand menus.
Interested? Then use the 'Contact Us' link on the right to leave us some details about yourself and which race weekend you would like to cover - we will then get back to you!
